If I put my bridesmaids in red dresses and use red flowers (calla lilies, roses etc) will that be too much red? Our other colors are silver and blue. If it is too much red, what should I use for colors in my flowers?

i had a red dress as a maid of honor. the bride wanted red flowers, but the lady at the flower shop talked her out of it. she suggested just to get all sorts of colored flowers. her 'other colors' were black and silver. so flowers of that color would not work.
the lady at the flower shop was brilliant! Her pictures look so pretty and its all that color from the flowers!!
So i suggest lots of color!

I wouldn't do it if I were you. I worked at a florist for 2 years who had a photographer that shared a building with her....I can tell you the flowers will disapear in pics and all... By all means, accent with red, but you could definetly tie in your silvers and blues. Think about adding blue Iris, or delphinium, hydrangeas, or even tinted orchids. Definetly add some whites or creams in as well, and possibly tie it with silver ribbon. Also, their are all kinds of silver leaf, rhinestone, or silver beaded picks that florists use in corsages all the time that could be mixed in to add silver flair! Also, bear in mind that I have never seena red calla lilly, they are ussually a really hot, dark pink or deep purple, almost marroon. They are also VERY expensive, don't know if that matters to ya, but it might! Good luck!

Try Mixing Red and White flowers together that would go great with Silver and blue

Id definitely say no to more red. It will just blend in with the dresses. I think you picked very beautiful colours though. See if a florist can do a cream or white set of flowers and maybe do some silver glitter or lining on them and do some sort of blue ribbon on the bouquets.
Good luck and congrats

Actually a lot of weddings that use red use red dresses and red flowers and I think that it is absolutely beautiful. I would also use some silver flowers (not a lot) or some white just for accents to break it up a little bit. I wouldn't use all red. You could use some small calla lilies in it if you want or you could just use that in the brides bouquet. Babies breath is really pretty with red roses.

do red flowers but add in some white ones too, like lilies. Red calla lilies and white oriental lilies would look good

Red flowers would be too much - maybe just a few in a bouquet as an accent. Go with cream - or just an assorted bouquet.

That is not too much red, but maybe you can get some other flowers in the bouquets if you feel that it is, or add silver trimmings to them.

if you put another colour in the bouquets then it would be really nice...like maybe some cream colour roses or baby's breath or lots of green...or have some blue put into it or silver ribbon...that would be really nice.

not really. in asian weddings the bride wears red and the maids wear red and the stage is covered in red so your wedding won't have too much red
