Simply shut down the machine. remove the cover and install the drive into one of the empty slots at the front. Make sure that the jumper setting is correct. Close the case and reboot. Machine will find new hardware and most likely install it. Finally you need to install the software that support rewriting for the drive. Most famous are Nero and Roxio

i assume you mean another DVD rewrite
set top ,1, 2, master set, 2, 1, 2, slave this ensures they do not con flick with each other hope this is enough in formation
