If your kitten likes to bite and nip you when you are playing with it, soak your hand FIRST in a mixture of Tabasco sauce and vinegar. One taste and ewwwwwwww!!!!!

Otherwise, normal kitten training techniques like a spray bottle or distracting the kitten with a toy usually work well.

Resist the urge to bite the kitten back.... cats always remember and get revenge on you later in life. They seem especially fond of expensive lamps and crystal vases.

Purrrrrrrrrr

The kitten is just playing that is what kittens do, and it is hard to stop but I suggest a spray bottle. Fill it with water and spray away. Even though this might not break the kitten of biting and nipping when he sees the spray bottle he wont hang around long enough to bite or nip.

Kittens play by biting and nipping, so some of this is just "being a kitten." However, it can get out of hand, so any time she does it, make a loud, harsh noise. Cats don't like such noises and generally stop what they're doing. Be consistent, and she will get the idea that this is not acceptable behavior.

Don't do anything but try to ignore it. Kittens do this when they are pulled away from their mother to early. When it gets out of the "little kitten" stage it will most likely stop. If it is actually biting you at like 7 months then be concerned.

If you feel its more aggressive then it should be try redirecting its anger into toys and don't play with it with your hands. Try to use a toy to play and use a hand to pet.

Beat him mercilessly.

But seriously, biting and nipping is what kittens do. You can't stop it. The good news is that they grow out of it as they mature. So be patient, you're dealing with a baby.

I think that is play for kittens..my cat is 3 someone gave her to me 6 months ago..she bites me bad.. draws blood..I knock her good when she does it but I think she is to old to retrain..I am very suspicious that is the reason they gave her away..heheehe...But really try and train yours not to bite, its a real nasty habit for the owner to have to live with..When it gets a little older try a spray bottle..they respect that weapon..Good luck.

No do not take his teeth out (Shangie your an fool) I also have a cat that does this, frequently with plastic luggage and crinkly toys, sometimes i think of he likes the noise and only fiddling with them. My mom works in a cattery at a humane society and that i dont think of there is something incorrect with him, only verify he doesnt choke on something or get electrocuted via the telephone cords he chews on

Is your kitten declawed? If so, that could be why it's biting since it is the only way to defend itself.

Don't hit your cat, it won't help and it is just abuse.

Get a spray water bottle, and when your kitten does something bad (only when you catch them doing it) give them a little spray. this works well with cats.
