Doesn't the title sound exciting? Anyway, why is there this longstanding history of conflict between the Jews and Catholics? I thought Jesus was a Jew or something? And why are the jews so disliked?

Jews did not kill Jesus.
I do not understand how people who claim to be Christians and who claim to read the Bible arrive at this.
Jesus was killed by the Roman leaders of the time, note: Catholics originated in Rome.
Jesus was Hebrew, Jew is a more modern term.
As with any other group of people there will be some in the group that are corrupt that's just the way it is. Anyway.........
There will always be a conflict as long as there are Jews on earth, reason being when a person is blessed by the Almighty for whatever reason they will always be others who will be jealous. It is that simple.
Muslims have tried to eliminate the Jews for ever and since then Catholics have joined the band wagon but it is written and so it shall be done, that: thoes who fight and die and are persecuted for the sake of the Almighty shall endure and be triumpant in the end.
That is why six million were killed less than a century ago and yet, Jews dominate in every sphere in the society. Of course they will be hated.
And just so you know; I am not a Jew.
Oh, and to the person who said that Jews do not believe in Christianity, do Christians believe in Judism????
Judism teaches that EVERYONE has the right to their own religion but at the same time you should understand that if your religion teaches to destroy those of another religion, then the people of that religion should of course defend themselves.
Besides: Christianity and Judism are based onthe same basic principals as a matter of fact, Christianity was born out of Judism.

Jews and Christians have a fundamental difference in their beliefs as they concern Jesus. Christians belief Jesus is the Messiah, the Jews believe He was a prophet, but not the Messiah.

The Jews are still waiting for Jesus's first coming. Christians are awaiting His return.

It is easy to see how such a fundamental difference in beliefs can cause friction between Jews and Christians.

as a Jew I always wonder.......... why a person would choose Christianity over Judaism? Judaism makes much more sense and i hate to be blunt but Christianity is a copy of Judaism. the bible is just a translation of the Jewish Torah. i know this doesn't answer the question but i just want my voice to be heard.

I am Catholic and have absolutely no conflicts with Jews.

I have NEVER heard a Priest make an anti-Jewish comment.

Jesus was a Jew, then he started Christianity.

Peace!
