Over the counter (OTC) diet pills are considered as food supplements, and their use is unregulated. However, these are very popular and people continue to use them without considering the adverse side effects. Prescription diet pills are useful for severe obesity problems. These pills are regulated and their side effects are monitored. Some of these pills are Meridia (Sibutramine), Xenical (Orlistat), Adipex, Bontril, Didrex, Phentermine and Tenuate. Xenical is a lipase inhibitor, decreasing fat absorption by 30% resulting in a lower calorie intake. These pills will not be effective for losing weight , if a conventional weight loss plan is also not followed. More information available at http://www.toloseweight.org/weightlosspill.html

Being forced to watch EastEnders.

Oh, sorry, I tell a lie. EastEnders isn't an appetite suppressant. It's an emetic.

Amphetamine is considered an appetite suppressant the world over.

Will kill you though, if it doesn't turn you into a raving lunatic.

No matter where you live, it's water. Whenever you feel the urge to eat/overeat, down a huge glass of it (so full you think you will burst). Gummy bears work wonders, too, and they are fat free. Oh yeah, if you are getting the craving crankies, it makes you feel better when you bite their heads off! ;)
