Shia & Sunni have been slaughtering each other since the death of mohammed. Infact the greatest lost of muslim life EVER was in the wars between Iran & Iraq as each 'officially' clings to a sepertae path in islam. This has nothing to do with the USA or other states as another answer implies. Why isn't there much aggro in the UK (a) because most muslims are law abiding & (b) what aggro there is is usually not reported as the press etc are anxious not to fall foul of race relations legislation.

In USA not much written about Sunni-Shis tensions. Only info I have gotton is the Sunnis are the wealthy and dominant group in the Arab States, and the Shia are the poor folks. Also Muslim faith is devided rich and poor. In my research Al Qadhafi. he wanted to unite the Arab states and the Muslims.faith. The only conclusion that I have been able to arrive at is the Sunnis have been the rulers and Shias want Shia power or at least a bit of it. Money probably plays a role.

Are you kidding? The whole premise of the Iraqi war is that westerners (US & Britain) cannot tell one arab or muslim from another, and that it is okay to attack Iraq for something done by a few Saudis and Egyptians.
So how would anyone selling that extreme level of hubris go about explaining that differences actually exist among muslims of the same country, but different sects?
Geez, next thing you know, it'll be compared (accurately, I might add) to the Troubles between Catholic and Protestant in Northern Ireland. These ARE people, fer chrissakes!

Quran is 100% absolute reality from one and only authentic God Allah swt. Allah swt has guarntedd in Quran that he will safeguard it from corruption.None can tamper with Quran divine texts. The Quran avaible to us is an same Quran 1400 years in the past became printed to Prophet Muhammad saas. some shias (no longer authentic muslims in first position) declare there have been many better verses in Quran which Ali ra became praised etc) yet is a fabrication. Quran each and each note alphabet vowels are contained in the hearts of tens of millions of Muslim who can study it the exact same devoid of searching at Quran. Allah swt truly is guarding it.

1. it only started when the war started in iraq
2. usa and uk are killing sunni and shia population and attacking holy places, and blame the sunni or shia for it
3. for usa and uk to maintain power and keep troops they must divide iraq by civil war
= usa and uk are to blame
