Lesbian Tea Party

2016-12-18 18:18:58 · answer #2 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

I have no idea. Probably because some well-known lesbian in fact or fiction drinks it. As I recall, it was the favorite drink of Capt. Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek: Next Generation. Does that make it the tea of the future?
Lapsang Souchong became popular after it was mentioned Mitchner's novel "Centennial". Does that make it an old-fashioned tea or a fur trapper tea?

Maybe an earl called Grey was sipping on a type of tea when his daughter broke the news to him that she's lesbian?

Worth a shot. :)

Never heard that before..as a straight person addicted to my Early Grey, I can only think it has summat to do with ladies who liked to have tea and chat. As for the lesbian bit, I find it a bit odd for those of us that prefer 'a nice hot mouthful of Earl Grey' .......

It refers to some ridiculous myth that lesbians will always go for the 'different' option. The same is also said about herbal teas, that they are lesbian. I suspect this myth was created by a bitter old queen.

Because a lot of men regard its wonderful bergamot scent as somewhat sissy --- although I would have thought that lesbian taste would run to something macho rather than something so exquisitely feminine. I would guess that it is much served at lesbian tea dances. After all, what nicer tea can you have?

Not heard of this. Just doing a quick search, lesbian tea appears. Can't see a real meaning though.

Maybe Lady Grey (gay).
