My nipples have changed colour from light pink to dark purply brownand enlarged. They are very sore and hot to the touch. I had to sleep with ice packs last night, I really don't think that I am pregnant so what else could this be?? I have no fever or discharge from them. My breasts are swollen as well and my period is not due for another 2 weeks.I have had to children, and I remeber what "let down" was like and this feels like that. Any ideas out there??I cannot get into the doctor until November, that is why I am asking.

You MUST go to the emergency room..and stat.
If it is an infection caused by a broken cyst that woman can get in their breasts, and that get's in your blood stream - that could be very very bad..and fast.
Whatever is going on could be very minor and not be this at all..but why play guessing games on the outside chance it might.
Please see a doctor or go the hospital soon. Good luck hon!!! I hope it's just some small thing causing you big problems that they can correct with meds...

That is a way too long period to wait to go to the Doctor. Do you have any walking clinics in your area? If you do try that. Because it seems to me it would be very uncomfortable for you to wait till November. If you are military go to he emergency room. Best of luck. Feel better soon.

You could be pregnant. You could have an infection. I think if you tell the doctor's office that you have an infection, adn talk with the nurse there about it, she can get you in. No need to suffer and no need to do permanent damage.

I would suggest taking a PG test, just to be sure.
If that doesn't give you an answer, go to a "Ready Med" type place or make an appointment ASAP with your family doc.
