A bunch of things.
First I would not marry my first wife.

I would never have kids.

I would meet and marry my second wife sooner.

I would not be shy around the opposite sex, because I was 40 years old before I got out of my shyness.

I would not have stopped playing my guitar, saxophone or the piano and would add the hand drums and flute to my musical instruments.

I would buckle down and make good grades and then go on to college and make good grades there also.

My first motorcycle would be a Harley instead of a Honda. Don't get me wrong Jap bike riders, I like Honda's and Yamaha's and the other jap bikes and European bikes, but I like Harley's the best. The list goes on and one.

The choice to be too soft hearted and too generous when I came into a lot of money. Anyone that needed help, I gave them money. I took care of everyone but me, now I have nothing left. And only a couple of people paid me back... the others I have lost touch with.
Kind of like the proverb "give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime"... I should have taught some of them to fish rather than give away all I had!

My Military service, I would have taken advantage of the military school program and earned college credits instead of spending 20 years in the combat arms and fighting 3 wars, I have seen too much death for my taste, I have seen things and done things that no human should have to see and do.

I haven't had any fallout from any of my really big choices. What has changed my life is that which I cannot control. If anything, I would change my attitude.

Tough question,,,

So many REALLY BAD CHOICES have lead me to wonderful things.
I guess,, the only thing I would change is,, I would like to be more compassionate. I am often bitter and cruel.

I would not have embraced thuggery as an inherent aspect of black culture. I would not have gotten drunk and high for my entire teen years, I would not have dropped out,I would not have done all the nasty sht I did trying to be black. I am glad I grew out of that stuff but still I am playing catch up.

I would have started making my own decisions earlier in life. Everything that's gone right is by my own doing. Most "self made men" aren't, they got help or they got lucky. I had neither.

I wouldn't change anything.

If I did, I might miss out on my God, my son, my wife, or my friends. My life might end up differently. I might be a different person. I wouldn't want that.

I would have gone back to school a lot sooner instead of being so lazy. I could have been working my new career by now.
