While it is possible that this person was acquainted with you in a previous life, it is not good to base decisions in this life on some vague feelings of remembrance.
Also you may have met him before.
Quite honestly, it sounds a great deal like he is trying too hard, and you want to believe too much.
Be very careful with internet relationships, especially if one has to make a major commitment to travel to see the other.

I met a girl who I just had to talk to. She wasn't even the type of girl I would normally approach, and to top things off, I was with someone else at the time. There was just something about her that I found so familiar. I am now looking into doing a past life regression, because two different psychic friends of ours have told us that we were together in a past life. I have never believed in that sort of thing, but I know there's an unexplained reason why I just had to meet this girl. We've been together for almost a year now, and I've never met anyone so compatible!

Yes... not from internet connection, but in my life, I have come into contact with people that seemed familiar to me. My niece anna... I was the first person to hold her when she was born and from that instant, I felt a deep connection with her. She is 13 now and we both feel it. She tells people Im her best friend and her cool aunt gg, and its crazy how much we are alike. Also, my best friend robyn, we also have much in common and seemed to click and connect right away as if we had known eachother all our lives. Its crazy, but I believe these connections are def possible. Good Luck

If he has travelled to your country then you may well have met him. Not on a personal level, but on the bus or train, or at a meeting or other event. You saw each other but didn't interact, but the memory of that has lingered, and when you saw each others photos, then the memory resurfaced, but not enough detail remained for you both to remember where or when.
