First you will need the USB cable and drivers disc for your dvc once you installed the applications and drivers that came with ur dvc you should be able to transfer video to your pc , then you can
use nero to make a dvd or nero vision express to burn it into a dvd encoding takes time ,you also can just burn the raw video on the dvd and play it in a computer , but if you must play it on a house dvd player you have to use some kind of authoring software like nero vision express that come with nero 7.

To get the USB you can go for the Dazzle, I have it and it works for almost everything.... (RCA wires yellow, red and white plugs) to DVD...(best price here)

On the camcorder look for a video out cable or a firewire and plug directly to the input of the DVD recorder. The DVD recorder will give you one hour of high quality video. It will not be the highest quality but pretty close.

If you want the highest quality transfer you will have to use a computer and the firewire option to an editing program that will transfer and encode at the highest resolution.

Well I hook my dvc to my dvd recorder and play the dvc while my dvd recorder is recording. Or if you have the right cables to go from your dvcamera to your computer that has a dvd burner, that is one of my problems, can figure out how to go from dvc to my computer.

Don't use Dazzle or anything else but a Firewire connection, unless you want to lose quality! If you want to do some editing and add titles and effects I can recommend Pinnacle Studio, otherwise a DVD recorder with a firewire/1394 input would be a simple solution.

Hi

There is most likly a good reason why this can't be done but load the DVD onto your computer, copy the files you want, save them to hard disc then copy to a new DVD.
