I am really tired of the stereotyping,mean ,bad, dangerous etc. I have and have had Pits for over 20 years,Greatest Damn Dogs are'nt they? If you have a good,nice Pit say so ,prove those "Dog Bigots" are wrong.

i had a pit mix and she was the best dog ever...not a mean bone in her body. unfortunantly some ppl's minds will never change. once they hear the word pit bull they automatically thing mean dog. it is in the history of the pit bull that they are one of the most loyal family dogs and great around children...but not so good around other dogs. but they are a terrier..and most terriers have dog aggression problems of some sort. this is a wonderful breed and to many idoits have completly ****** it all up for wonderful people that want to own this breed as a family pet.

i love my pit zeke he is the best dog that i have ever owned of course im not one of the idiots that gets them to fight them sure they CAN be mean but that is the owners fault not the dogs he just knows how he is broght up and it all truth a pit is less likely to bite someone than a lab is! people are just stupid and do not realize that any dog can be mean pits just get a bad wrap because they are so "big and scary" just because they are muscular means absolutly NOTHING! my pit plays with my 10month old son and our cat and has never hurt either one of them he knows better because he was brought up that way im getting real tired of everyone and their stereotypes its getting really really old

I agree...however the reputation comes from actual issues...not with the dogs but with the owners....what people don't realize is that there is no bad breed just bad owners....I think they are good dogs...not my personel favorite but to each his own....I have know many to be very good pets and family dogs....Pit and Rott owners are going to have a hard time because the there are a lot of bad people who want these dogs for the wrong reasons....any breed is capable of killing if not treated right....The breed has a bad name because of bad owners...I am glad to see more and more people take in these dogs and try and show people that with good homes and families these are good dogs and can make great pets.

Pits are not mean at all I have owned one. It is the way they are treated and raised. Any dog can be aggressive. My pit was the best dog I ever owned, and was not mean. He loved everyone he came in contact with. As I said it is the way they are treated!

Im in Australia and in most of the states they are illegal - Ive never had one but I dont know that owning a pit bull is such a bad thing - it depends on how they are brought up and whether they are taught to fight or not - usually its not the dog breed thats the problem its the owners

you know what mate i agree with you 100% i have been breeding pits and there one of the best est dogs ever some people train them to bite and feed them raw meat so they can start liking the taste of blood but if you treat them right their lovable

Don't bash the dog, bash the owners who keep an animal that is dangerous, whatever kind of animal. I think we should report any animals that behave dangerously and owners should be prosecuted to the fullest

ive had 3 nice pits and 1 nice rottweiler. its completely ignorant to think that a few breeds of dogs are mean and dangerous. is it in their genetics? yes. but you can train any dog to be mean and attack anything or anyone. so GO PITS AND ROTTS!!
