It depends on where you are located, and what time of year. I've heard horror stories of rain, snow, wind, etc.

But, because you asked - if your town or one near you has a bottanical garden, I recommend finding out how to book it.

If not, then find out how much it will be to fly you and your party to the Carribean for an outdoor wedding, island-style! That will go over as one helluva memory!

Good luck!

Call your local government about public parks in your area. The best thing about outdoor weddings is less decorations. The worst - back up plan for the weather.
Or, do you know anyone who has a place you could use?
We got married outside. We borrowed folding chairs and tables from our church. Got some large umbrellas for shade for elderly guests. (We were married mid-May.) We had a cook-out for our reception. That was my husband's idea and everyone loved it!
When we left the reception, instead of rice, birdseed, etc. we did the confetti poppers and they looked great in the pictures.
If you can't get a professional photographer, check the local paper as sometimes the photographers there do sidejobs cheap. Also, another great inexpensive photo idea is to get a photography student. They usually do it for cost of film and you can do your own developing and they get pics for their portfolio. Just ask to see some of their work beforehand.
