I tend to have at least one drink a day. I must emphasise I do not get drunk every day! Does this mean I have a drink problem in your opinion?

Very interested to hear your views!

you don't have a drinking prob, but it's better to start cutting down . Why do you want to have a drink everyday?? My hubs began with a few drinks, and then he was drinking 10-12 beers, then I hit him on the face with a radio on day when he got drunk LOL then he promised me he will never drink again. and it's been like a month without a beer for him.

It depends on whether you feel you MUST have a drink every day or if it is just habit. A glass or so of wine each day can actually be beneficial although, obviously, over indulgence is bad. You should not drink more than 11 units per week to be safe. Each unit is 1 half pint of beer, 1 glass of wine or 1 measure of spirits. However it is recommended that you have a minimum of at least two alcohol free days a week to stop your system becoming dependent and to allow your body to filter out any toxins from the alcohol

One drink a day is not a problem. Many people have one drink a day. For example, many people have a glass of wine with dinner. This does not make them an alcoholic. As long as you do not become dependent on that drink, you are ok. If it comes to the point where you find that you absolutley cannot get through your day without that drink, then that could be a bigger issue.

Depends on the drink. One glass of red wine had been found to be very good for people. White wine a little less so, but still not bad. Beer is mostly water, so probably not really bad. Hard liquor is probably not great, but if you hold it to one of reasonable size per day, you should be okay.

Nope. If you can go without booze for a couple of days and don't have cravings for it (and by that i mean real cravings. Thinking 'i fancy a glass of wine now doesn't count) then you have proven you don't have a problem. If i were you though i would back off it a bit, its not good for your liver to drink all the time.

Yes, I would say so. Know why? People who DON'T have a drinking problem NEVER ask themselves questions like this.

Stop taking that daily drink. If you can't and seem to constantly think about it, then you should get help.

One drink a day does not necessarally make an alcoholic. However if you are concerned I would look up an assessment on line. AA might have one. See how many check marks you get on the test.

No. If the thirst for alcohol begins to interfere with your functioning with daily life, yes. It's a good idea to take an occasional break from daily drinking to assure yourself that you are not developing a dependency.

Do you need to have a drink everyday? Try stopping for a week, if it's easy to do, you don't have a problem. Although, they say a drink a day can be beneficial, so who the hell knows....
