MS is a hard disease to diagnose because it shares so much in common with other nervous system disorders. Also, MS symptoms can vary from person to person because of the diverse ways that our nervous system affects us.
I was diagnosed myself with MS in 2000. That diagnosis came after years of losing feeling in my body. Not just numbness in the extremities, but losing feeling in the entire side of my body (arms, legs, torso…all of it); and then after regaining feeling, I would lose feeling in the other side of my body. I had vertigo spells that lasted for weeks. Not just dizziness, but a sensation of the world spinning. It would last while I was sleeping, while I was awake…non stop.
After much testing that included MRI’s and a spinal tap, I was diagnosed. I have been treating it, and have only had 4 exacerbations since 2000. What you describe could be MS. It could also be maneers disease, or many other nervous disorders. A good neurologist (and not all of them are) can help you find out what is wrong.
Good luck.

Multiple Sclerosis has many different sympotoms that make also be symptoms of other diseases. The fact that these problems have been constant make it unlilkely that you have Multiple Sclerosis. The symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis come from damage to the brain and/or spinal chord.
If I were you I would b examined by a neurologist. They seem to be unusual symptoms.
GOOD LUCK

Trisha...it's possible it's Fibromyalgia...but you'd have to go to a neurologist for a diagnosis. There are a lot of illnesses out there & it's impossible to know what it really is without the proper testing.
Good Luck.

Are you seeing a general practitioner? Whomever, he/she is not paying attention to your symptoms. Request a referral to a specialist or seek one out yourself with an explanation that you are being inadequately attended to. Or, simply go into an ER to get attention &/or a referral.
