How about worker's comp? You are entitled to it, as long as you are out of work for at least 7 consecutive days. Talk to a lawyer with worker's comp experience. They will take your case with no money up front---they will take it out of your settlement. You be entitled to money, and bill coverage.
Suing is the LAST thing you should do, not the first.

since Walmart is a large company you need to get a really good injury lawyer. Make sure you have documented proof about what happened and what your injury is and make sure it can be directly related to what happened at Walmart. Maybe also talk to your store manager and see why it took so long for management to help you. 7 pages over the PA system is ridiculous I dont care how busy it is. If they are rude and uncooperative then def. go see a lawyer and give them the exact story about what happened and they lawyer will know from your story if you have enough evidence to sue.

If you were injured because of a shoplifter your dead in water. Shoplifters don't follow Walmart safety rules so unless a Walmart employee caused injury you have no case. I am a LPM myself and deal with both shoplifters and safety related issues. If you want you may email me with more details from there I might help you more. Based on your limited information I would say you Have no case on Walmart.

If you were injured at Wal-Mart due to a shoplifter and you are not a Member of Management, then I assume you were doing something that Wal-Mart tells you specifically not to do. You probably have no case.

Suing; the American way of life. You know that you should cope with life on your own; not seeking to cash in on every inconvenience or disruption that occurs to you. Walmark was responsible for the shoplifter? Sorry, I don't empathize with people who think sue, sue, sue.

You will have to get an attorney for sure. Wal-Mart fights everything! It will be a long hard fight.
I used to work for a company that handled medical bills for things like that, and Walmart was THE WORST!
First step, get a lawyer.

You have to show injury caused by Walmart, or by some inaction by walmart. They will say go after the shoplifter.
This is only a opinion by a layman
