It is because that non-rechargeable batteries are designed to just spend their energy and thats it. Batteries are a set of 'energy cells' that are connected. They add up to 9v, 1.5v, 12v, etc
Certainly if you charge a non-rechargeable battery the very first cell of the battery gets fixed or reconditioned soon. The problem is when the next sets of cells start to regenerate, the first cell starts to heat up because its connected to the rest. This overcharging of the first cell will eventually ruin the battery.
THAT IS DEFINATELY UNSAFE.
If you were to look inside a normal battery, you would see a very simple, traditional type of battery.
A rechargeable battery has special conductive layers that allow energy to be placed back in. These miniature features actually 'put energy where it counts' when the charging process starts.

Yeah it works for a while but you may cause the battery to leak or even explode. If the battery leaks in the charger it could cause it to short circuit :) and that's a bad thing :D

Primarily because they can overheat and catch fire. They can also ruin your charger due to excessive heat at the contact points. Neither the batteries or the charger are designed to safely recharge these types of batteries.

you should only charge regular batteries on a charger made for specifically for this purpose..if they still market these devices.
It is inadvisable to use a charger designed for charging up rechargeable batteries to recharge regular batteries...
you may get lucky for a while ... but why risk it?????

They're not designed to be recharged and will likely leak, and possibly explode. Silly boy! ;o)

hey all, I had the best luck with Tims battery plan (just google it). In my experience it was the most incredible method that I have tried so far. Might be worth a shot.

Becuase they overheat and can expload. Also the chemicles will leak which are very corrosive. It may well break your charger and do not get it on your fingers.
