Ban what? Wine? Wine was the common drink for everyone of the time, Christian or not. Because of the lack of sewage treatment, virtually all water was unsafe to drink, escept for a few widespread wells, not common in a desert land. Wine was the common drink that every family had at every meal. Wealthy families could purchase the best wine from commercial sources. Poorer families pourchased inferior wine or made their own. But "banning" wine would essentially mean they had nothing safe to drink.

Christians banned wine?
A little wine is good for the body. Anything used excessively is not good.

Because christians love control, when they cant have the power they complain and try to ban things that other people like.
If that wasnt wine why did it say Jesus got drunk to all of you that say it wasnt wine it was grape juice?

Every Christian that I have met in my lifetime all believes that alcohol in any form, especially wine, is sinful. The times when I attended communion when growing up, it was always grape juice.
The logic that I have heard time and again is that it is the cause of sin because it caused Noah to be sinful when he wasn't ever before he drank (post-"flood" period). I have never met anyone who believes according to the water into wine story that it is ok to drink wine at any point in time.

Christians did not try to ban it, besides the word Christian was not even used until after the death and Resurrection of Jesus.
Guardian say "the Bible says Jesus got drunk".I challenge anybody to show me just one place in the Bible it says "Jesus got drunk".

No, not then & not now too except some zealous christian. Wine & alcohol is not mentioned as forbidden in the bible. The bible says it is to be discourage so we don't get addicted instead of serving God properly.

We didnt,
Wine is a word in the Bible used to describe the juice of grapes, that rapidly became alcholic when it fermented, as they had no way back then to keep it from fermenting, freshly squeezed grapes was not wine as we know it to be being alcoholic, but was just "grape juice" until it ferments.
