Where are you from?
If the US then most classical artists are/were foreign.
Monet, Manet, Picasso, Van Gogh,
If you are french its harder; Constable, Gainsborough were English.
Italian - Michaelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Donatello, Lippi, Botticelli.........
Why dont you start with a picture that you actually like (search google images) and take it from there?

There's Vincent Van Gogh or Leonardo da Vinci or even Claude Monet - try putting one of the names in google...you should get loads of info from there!!

Pretty much all the famous ones are! Renoir, Dali, Van Gogh, Da Vinci, Monet.

There are dozens, Picasso, Van Gogh, Monet, Manet etc, these are all very famous, just type any into the search engine and you will get loads of info

You could look on Wikipedia, searching on 'Monet, Gaugin, Cezanne, Da Vinci, Van Gough, Dada '(for the impressionsists, which you may find interesting), or just search on 'art', which should always find you something to go on.

You dont know art at all - most artists dead or alive are 'foreign', just pop in a gallery or look it up. I can think of more foreign artists than english ones.
