She's normally slender, but lately, I think she gained a tiny bit more weight.

Yes it is normal for an 13 year old to crave more food, because the body is growing and it telling her, it needs more food to grow. try pick healthy choices for food. yes do eat more and it is normal to gain some pounds, which is healthy. it just the body way of growing and common with kids up to age 18 to 20. the body is always growing but it more extreme during the teen years.

ask her what's up, maybe there's more to it than just loving food... being bullied? or come to think i started gaining weight when i was 13 just because eating was fun.

its called puberty, my daughter who is 13 is going through the same thing, some days she is hungry for different things.

it is that age where they need more food for the body so dont worry about it
