friction! friction causes soundwaves to produce between any two object. Some have more amp's than others.

Well we apply pressure to our thumb, with our middle finger. The skin on our thumb gives way to that pressure. When there is no longer resistance, our middle finger strikes hard and fast at our palm at the base of our thumb, where the noise actually comes from.
