To the dumb ***** below: how was this ignorant? Is there not unrest in muslim communities? Did I say anything disparaging about muslims or christians?

Maybe instead of boosting your ego, you could have responded with an actual answer.

I am Christian, and I am completely for the separation of church and state. The governments role is to protect the people. The role of Christianity is to win the hearts of all. Unfortunately there is the problem of sin, and throughout history sin has come through when Christianity has seized control of the government. That is because Christianity rules by love, but is problematic when used to rule by force. Jesus had the same message in the gospel.

Actually I think the unrest is due to NOT ENOUGH religion. Obviously, secular societieis have unrest as well -- just in different ways. Need I mention the rapings, school shootings, pedophilia in America?

If Muslims actually followed their religion, the Middle East would be SOOOOO MUCH MORE PEACEFUL. Trust me on that. www.whyislam.org could explain the details. But generally speaking, its a religion that promotes peace, especially at home and in the communities. Its very strong on family bonds and community involvement. Too bad people pick and choose when they follow.

The unrest in Muslim communities is due to not enough sex. As a Catholic, I really like living in a "society" that does not treat women equally with respect to the priesthood and treats homosexuals as if they were perverts rather than priests. I am really glad that religion has no effect on the laws in the United States or the attitude of our society toward sex and the sexes.

Unrest is not due to "too many religions" but a lack of religion.

Religion should never ever dictate "LAW" and that includes "MORALS"

Reference problems Muslims are having now-
Toss Catholics in also.

People "laws" tradition creates an environment that non one can live up to.

I prefer society where one worships are one desires.
Keep idiot governements out of religion.
Separation of Religion and Governemnt.

i would say that the unrest is due to different fighting sects within the religion. As christians we dont have a religion it is a relationship. Unfortunately we also have fighting sects. Baptist ,methodist, church of god, etc. And yes . . . it should never have been this way. It must be fixed.

I am not a christian.
As for the first question i do not think that too many religions have anything to do with the unrest.
Just as the christians have revelations as a sign of the ending times.

You are very ignorant concerning current events and the natural progression of societies to reach democracy, While you are being prejudice and not realizing it, I'm going to continue to increase my knowledge of things and love people from all walks of life and religions, its Happy on this level, but continue on your low level path where you have pride in your self-exalted intolerance. Anyone is victim to the media if their knowledge isn't self-asserted.
