Since yesterday, my Rat Terrier - Perdita (belongs to my little sister in legal claiming rights) - threw up twice and once this morning! I tried to get her away from eating leaves and junk, but she still winds up vomiting! I don't think it's car sickness either! What does she need? She is fed regularly, but there's got to be more than this!!!

I want to get her to the vet but the vaccination papers are nowhere to be found! The nerve to call me lazy...

Well, this happened before but very, very less cases. The only thing I could ever see in her vomit is brown coloring of what she just ate but I have found nothing else.

you can take her to an animal clinic without having the vaccination papers on hand. Especially since Perdita's already sick, they wouldnt turn her away

if its not the leaves and junk shes vomiting, you need to find out what it is. watch her like a hawk. She could be having a bad reaction to her kibbel, so keep that in mind. If you've changed it recently, or got a new bag (maybe it was contaminated or spoiled) check that first, its always a good place to start

check her vomit, and see if you can figure out what it is thats making her sick, and take her to the vet or a clinic immediatly. they wont turn you away, like i said. and they'll be able to give you something to ease her stomach.

also, give her water. as much as she'll drink, itll help clear her system

you have to go to the vet. Screw those papers, Small Dogs don't usually do those types of things unless they are really sick. It may be a doggie diesease called PARVO. Its air borne and a lot of dogs can get it from other dogs. If this is not treated soon he/she can die from it. Trust me I had to go through my dog doing the same thing. But I caught it just in time. There is no reason for a dog to continue t throw up. Its not normal. Most dogs eat leaves and sticks to calm their stomachs. Like we would take an antacid or some of them are silly dogs who like to eat leaves. Either way it still should be checked out. He/she could be telling you something serious.

You really need to take her to the vet. Just simply explain to the vet that you don't have the papers with you. I know my vet keeps a copy of my dog's vaccinations, so maybe your vet does also? I hope your dog feels better soon.

If she is sick take her to the vet, you should not have to have the vaccination papers for that. I have NEVER been asked for papers when I go to the vet if they are sick. She may have gotten into something that has made her sick and it could be serious. so call the vet ASAP!

Many things can cause your Rattie to be sick and even if you don't have the vaccination papers you should get her there.

Little dogs will dehydrate quickly and that will make everything worse.

Can you change her diet? Don't feed dogs that cereal dry food, it's bad for them. Dogs are carnivores and maybe she's trying to get the vitamins she needs. Give her all-meat dog foods and treats. See if she is happier with that.
