There is no physical proof, that's why it takes faith. However there are records of people who have come back, through resusitation, who saw Hell/ Heaven and it changed their outlook on the afterlife because they saw it. I believe it exsists.

We cannot PROVE the existance of an after life. Science will never be able to prove this. this is beyond science and without science it cannot be proven.
I know after life exists because I have seen and spoke to ghosts. One was my grandad who at the time of appearing to me had been dead 3 years. He spent 20 minutes with me. I had a fever and I think I was near death, but since I was not making much money and had no insurance I just rode the fever out. This can be explained away as an illusion brought on by the high fever, but I know it was real. The other times I have seen ghosts I was not even sick or feeling bad.
I am Ghost Hunter and Paranormal investigator now and I know people laugh at that and make fun and think me weird, but that is okay, I am not doing this for them, but for myself and I hope to help people who experience the paranormal and do not know what to do.
A lot of ghost Hunters today call themselves "scientist" and their desire is to have that one photograph, or one recording that will turn the scientific community upside down and they once and for all prove that ghosts exist and thus there is an after life.
These people are often frustrated because people do not take them as serious as they take themselves.
I feel I am happier then these people because I don't take myself too serious and I don't expect skeptics to take me seriously. I tell people that if being laughed at and made fun of bothers them, then they don't have any business ghost hunting.
We can gather evidence to prove to ourselves and to help those who heed help with a haunting. For more information visit the link below.

That cannot be known. You could not design an experiment such that the afterlife could be proven because to do so you would need to die. This requires some measure of faith, as do all religions and atheism.

We will not know for certain until our own time comes. Until then we only have our faith to guide us. That should be enough for the one who has faith. If you do not have faith then you will not ever believe until you personally reach it.Then what? Do you finally say, oh I get it now. It will be a little too late. I would rather have insurance for my home and family and never have to use it than to need it and not be able to fix whatever was necessary.

As I've answered to a similar question the findings from clinical studies of near death experiences offers the most compelling evidence. The numbers run into tens of thousands and all of them are reporting similar phenomena, so either they are all having the same hallucination or there really is a spiritual realm.

if i knew for sure i would have to be killed.Everything you see in this universe is a pattern of life not death, everything recycles, everything has a pattern, everything is from positive goodness towards life except the human choices. How can someone die at 12 years old and not get a better chance?this universe is not negative it has no concern about death because it only lives,it does not know death and only life can exist, death cannot exist it would be self destructive, does not make sense.so from what i see in this infinite entity life will always be and was always because you cannot make something out of nothing and vice versa.this reality is recycling to better for ever,so is the human soul and spirit, there is no hell or heaven, just more lives from your choices towards better or equal to your choices.

There is no physical proof (that we know of...)
...only those that have had a near death experience have said they either started the journey to heaven...
Or those that have started heading south...hearing the torment and anguish...are these true accounts? Only they really know.
The only thing left is faith and hope. For those of us (Christians) that know there is a Heaven; we have hope. We also have faith. Our living God is a covenant keeping God.

Well, you can accept a religion of your choice, live by their tenants and if they really have an afterlife you will go there. We all know for sure when we die. If there is nothing, no hurt, no foul. But what if say the Christians are right. Won't you feel silly standing there as the judgement is read?

http://aglimpseofeternity.org/testimony.htm
Go here, and check this guy's testimony out. He lived the life of an atheist, until the day he got stung by 5 box jellyfish. He was pronounced clinically dead. 15 minutes later, he awoke and found himself at the hands of the coroner about ready to cut him open. His testimony speaks about his life before the accident, the revelation given to him while he was dead, and his changed life afterward.
The testimony of someone who has died, but come back to life, and what was seen matches the Biblical description ought to be proof enough.

I hear people talking about it but i haven't really given it a thought.
I do believe that when i die, my soul goes by my creator and my spirit just moves on to another cactus or body. To start it's cycle all over again. The cactus of a new born baby for example.
