How many deaths did those attacking the death star in Star Wars IV suffer? Why would they give up their lives for a lie?How many wittnesses in Star Wars IV saw Luke Skywalker receive his medal? There were thousands of eye witnesses. How many people saw the star wars movies and bought DVDs? How many prophecies from Star Wars I and Star Wars II came true in Star Wars IV, V and VI? What are the odds of those prophecies coming true by random chance? How was Luke able to defeat an entire Death star? What were the odds of Luke being able to destroy the Death Star by Random chance? If the force isn't real then why does the universe exist?

So do I believe in "The Force" No, but it is less ridiculous than Other religions for which people on here have used the same exact arguments.

Well, one thing is for certain, everyone acknowledges it in some
capacity. This makes it real to a to a certain degree. If enough people believe in it as their religion then why not. Santa Claus might not be real, however, you sure see a lot of every year at the same time. The Force would be a lot better than what is currently available.

I've heard about this trend... in fact, there are enough people who believe in "Jedi" as a religion that it has shown up on census reports in some countries.

I personally don't believe in "The Force," but there are some aspects of it (as I recall from the original Star Wars movies) that remind me of the Holy Spirit. That would be an interesting comparision paper.

The Star Wars 'force' was modeled after Buddhist thought. Yes I do believe there is a 'force'.

It is no more ridiculous or insane than believing in a giant man in the sky who loves you,, but will gladly throw you in hell if you don't follow VERY SPECIFIC rules.

There is actually some scientific truth that all life has a,,,,

electromagnetic force,, it is how sharks locate their pray.

Many people throughout the ages have held similar beliefs,, it is the basis for the art of tai chi and yoga.

Star Wars is based in some religions.
Jedis are something like priests because they were prohibited to marriage and they should "love" any creature.
and "the force "is the "holy spirit"

Well, Jedi IS an official religion. In Britain, so many people filled it in on the "Other" line in their Census that it became an official option on their census.

I actually know a Jedi. His name is Dave.

Dave the Jedi.
