If my bloodwork came out fine, do I still need to ask for further testing?

If by routine blood work you mean a Tyhroid profile, or a dexamethasone suppression test, (if they suspect you are depressed) you probably don't need further testing.

Yes, you need to have extra tests order for it to be tested like t-3, t-4 and TSH.

I should think that hypothoid would show up in blood test ask your gp if you are worried about it

Anemia and high cholesterol. But they are not specific for hypothyroidism.
