I was watching the golf yesterday, and about half of Tiger Woods' shots were played with his caddy at least 5 yards offside.

I can't believe the marshals didn't penalise him for this blatant infringement of the rules.

Do you think it's time they brought in extra linesmen for important tournaments?

Maybe he was moving back in to an onside position and therefore ruled as not interfering with play even though he was offside

Dear Heathen
Thank you for your concern pertaining to the positioning of Mr Woods and his caddy. Under further investigation we have reached a momentus decision - a first from the International PGA. We have indeed decided to take your keen observations into consideration and will be penalising both Mr Woods and his caddy.

Mr Woods will be asked to remove 9 clubs from his bag for his next PGA tour entry. He will also be asked to play with a Driving Range Ball and a left handed putter.

His caddy will be asked to perform the impossible. He will have to forget his selfless nature and every time Mr Woods takes a bad shot, he is to shout slurs and insults at Mr Woods making the caddy devoid of all obvious and natural blame.

If these trials are successful, we will be implementing the change to our rulebook internationally.

Yours truly
Phil Weaver - PGA Chairman 2006

I don't think that matters all too much. What is the caddie going to do, help Tiger's swing? Make the ball go further? I don't think so. Whatever advice he's given Tiger it's given when he goes to swing, not during his swing and not as the ball flies. It's a mute call anyway. It's only there to keep the caddies from shielding the golfers from the press anyway. I have no beef with it - Tiger's the best golfer in the WORLD anyway! Offsides or not it wouldn't have changes anything.

You probably think you are funny. You are not! Learn the rules of golf and talk about relevant factors! Steve was never off side anf Tiger should not have been penalized for holding.
