when i first started running, my lungs felt like they weren't getting enough air, and i was also wheezing and breathing heavy. it may simply be that you need to build your lung capacity and overall endurance. as you run more and increase your endurance, your lungs will get stronger and hopefully the wheezing and chest cold feeling will go away. if not, definitely check to see if a doctor can help you figure out what it is. visit webmd.com, maybe some quick answers lie there as well.

It sounds like asthma!!! You should really go see a Dr about it and make sure. You might try going to a Asthma/Allergy Dr they can have you do a simple breathing test there and find out. I went to a regular family Dr as a kid because I did the same thing I ended up miss diagnosed for years until I got older and went to see a specialist.

Your out of shape, your muscles are burning more oxygen than your lazy lungs are use to providing. Keep working out and it will get better. Remember that an object in motion wants to stay in motion and that an object at rest wants to stay at rest. I hope this helps.

My guess is that you are Asthmatic and havent yet been diagnosed......if you have you need to be using your inhaler......
You could also have the flu that has been going around, might be worth going to the doctor and having a check up....

I honestly couldn't say for sure but I would STRONGLY suggest you talk seriously to your doctor so that you can be safe while being healthy, there is no point of trying to be healthy if you are harming yourself worse! Being dead is not healthy!
