mexico must suck if every illegal would do anything to stay here in the united states.question why dont mexicans want to become u.s. citizens if its the united states treats them better than there own country? and does mexicans have a false sense of pride when dealing with a country that doesnt give a damn about them?

I was discussing this the other day with a "legal immigrant" Jose who has lived here for most of his life!

I asked him Why do these illegals continue to get so many free survices yet parade the streets with mexican flags? His answer was the same as yours "a false sense of pride" I asked him to go further into it. He said well you see they love there country and they love america even more so, but they feel unpatriotic to say so. Then he said he thinks its a shame that these people who use our services continue to raise the flag of mexico and stated that if they like mexico so much why do they not go back home and then stated my home is here where i came from was a long time ago and they decided to abandon me when the goverment couldnt create a decent job market to make a comfortable adiquit living. I asked an illigal who works cleaning once what do you want to do with life. He saise make as much as possable and send money back home and leave. Then i said so you want to use our medical, and other benifits and not pay taxes so you can go back home with benifits? He said basically yep and i said so you just want to use america and leave? Yep he said and then i asked him do you see anything wrong with that? He said no.

You obviously have never been to Mexico or know anyone Latin. Mexico is a beautiful country with rich heritage and wonderful people. Unfortunately, the economy there is not what it needs to be so some people choose to come here to work. Because we haven't bombed them and they don't have a dictator for President, it is extremely difficult for them to become citizens. Did you know that during the Bosnian war, citizens from there were arriving in Chicago and receiving citizenship in 30 days! I know Latin people from all countries that even after being here for 10 years plus legally still are waiting. The inequities in our system is abhorrent and must be changed, only then will the "problem" of immigration be fixed! And please go visit Mexico and you will see how wonderful it is.

That's a good question. Does Mexico, or Honduras, or Haiti, etc. 'suck'? Well, certain conditions do suck. The question is why do they suck?
Our wealthy countries (Canada, USA, Western Europe, etc.) have something to do with it. I suggest you find your local 'Social Justice Committee' and ask a few questions.
Have you heard about the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund? These organizations were set up to help poor nations. However they are controlled by the wealthy. Often what we have ended up doing is the same as what a Mafia loan shark does. We loan, demanding high interest payments, the poor nations pay the loan over and over again over the years, and are still paying interest! Then with some of our national loans, after they have paid enormous interest, we suddenly get kind and offer to 'forgive' their loan. So we say: 'We will forgive your loan on the condition that you by products from our country (Canada in my case). Now the poor country has been struggling to set up industries to be able to make a go of it on their own. But in order to be free of some of their loans, they no longer produce what they can buy from our rich country - that's the agreement - and industries that were set up at a high cost to them go down - and more families are put on the streets, more children starve to death, more small boys and girls sold into prostitution, more small children put into jails (yes, I've seen those).
We Canadians and Americans and Europeans are not all doing that deliberately - we may have 'good' hearts, and sincerely wish the best to those nations, and wish 'something could be done about it' - but we do share an element of responsibility. We maintain our own ignorance about why those countries are suffering, we continue to support governments that support these policies, we don't write, email, phone our local politicians about it ... and in our ignorance we continue to write comments and answers on Yahoo Answers that have no truth to them but that inflame people's hatred of immigrants.

GET THIS STRAIGHT: Most Mexicans DO NOT want to MIGRATE to the USA.

There are about 110,000,000 people here who struggle to make a decent living, and MANY manage to, like myself. Our colleges are among the worlds top 100's, and two of them are the 4th and the 7th world's best colleges.

Wer'e the world's 13th largest economy and Latin America's 1st exporter. Your XBOX's and your TiVO's are made in Mexico, not China. We also manufacture BMW's, Jaguar's and your behemoth Hummers.

EVERY NATION HAS LOTS OF POOR PEOPLE, The US does TOO. The difference is, poor Americans have welfare, poor Mexicans DO NOT. So they have to go somewhere else to find it.

So, yes, Mexico (as well as the US, the UK, even Canada) sucks...when you're lazy. When you're hard-working, Mexico is a Paradise.

PLUS, NO one hates us abroad or wants to nuke us or to blast us into oblivion.

They dont come here to be trated better than their country, but because there is not many jobs in Mexico and they dont have enough to support their families, that is the only reason they come to the US

The problem is that, Until we get it into our head that they believe that we owe them for stealing their lands CA, AZ NM, TX they deserve to be here and they can take all they want from us.
