Its ridiculous. They don't understand their own religion. Demand you believe it. And when you don't believe it, all they can do is launch an ad-hominem attack. When christians learn to debate and not just call names then maybe a real debate can procede. Until then one just has to laugh at their hateful name-calling.

Daniel show me a link with any record please. There are no records from the time that Jesus is supposed to have lived.
The closest thing you have are the writings of Paul, and he admits he never saw Jesus.

They just don't understand. There is no appeal to their Fairy Tales. The stories are more like doom & gloom Horror stories. Now if they would just rewrite that book of theirs again, and incorperate some spicy erotic romance and happy endings every now and then, they just might get some folks to WANT to read it. I mean really, do we really need all that depressing rath and hell fire?
And how on Earth can taking responsibility for your own actions, and not blaming them on some 'EVIL' fantasy figure, translate to arrogance? If having a brain and using it is 'Arrogant' , then I'm with ya buddy! And no I'm not Atheist, but I can tell better Fairy Tales than Christians and I understand the concept of symbolic metaphors! ; )
Blessed Be...the enlightened.

Your very question rings of arrogance. "Christian fairy tales?" This is also a fallacy. It's the fallacy of interrogation or Complex Question. Meaning, in order for this to be true, we'd have to admit that there is, in fact, a christian fairy tale. Since that has not been proven, your argument is invalid.

The arrogance is in you calling something you don't understand or accept fairy tales. And arrogance is making sweeping general statements like yours with no facts to back them and expecting to be accepted. So in short your actions and your words make you arrogant.

The assumption is, as you do not believe in some higher power, that makes you think you are a god. To believe you are a god, is equated with arrogance. In today's society, that would also make you a good candidate for psychiatric treatment!

What the Christians do not understand, the ones who think this that is, is that not believing in a higher power does not automatically bestow upon you the attributes of some higher power. It is, without question, flawed logic. If there is no higher power, there is no higher power! How can you become a higher power if you have no belief as such? So...

Just as a Satanist cannot be one without first being Christian - you can't believe Satan exists if your religion does not know or accept the idea of some supreme seat of evil - an atheist cannot believe they are a god if they do not accept the idea of a supreme deity running the universe.

Isn't it amazing how human beings can jump through hoops and perform death defying feats of mental gymnastics in order to give credence to their fractured beliefs? Astonishing!

I am ever so amazed at the number of athesists who comment on things about Christianity, God, and religion. One would think that, if someone thought the concept of God is stupid and totally unbelievable and that christian tales and beliefs are fairy tales, s/he wouldn't bother to even go to those sites much less make comments about it.

By your statement alone it makes those that think like you arogant. I donot agree with your beliefs but feel you have the right to them . If you were to ask me to show you the way to Christ I will try my best. If you do not want to here it I will not say it.
Agai I will ask that you not lump all christians in the same catagory not all of us are so pushy and fo not call names. I do not and do not appreciate the name calling to me in the general classification as a christian. Want to debate without name calling bring it on.

Arrogance is believing in fairy tales and trying to convince others that they are true.

Atheists are in the love of their own self intelligence. The cannot listen the the Lord as a good father because that would be paying attention to something outside of themselves.
