I wasn't born into any religion. My spiritual beliefs developed a bit like a jigsaw puzzle. As I got older and learned new facts each piece of the puzzle fell into place until I arrived at where I am now with a comprehensive framework of beliefs that derive mostly from Buddhism but also from the moral precepts of other religions such as Christianity, and from my study of near death experiences, research into reincarnation etc.

No one is born a christian. That's a choice we make when we are old enough to understand. Of course, if we are raised in a christian home, we have that foundation, but it's still no gaurantee that we will become christians. We are all responsible for our ownselves and our decisions. The same thing when we are not raised in christian homes. We still have a choice when we get old enough and hear the gospel.

Becoming an "adult" means you must take full responsibility for who and what you are as well as what you believe.

I was raised in a Christian household. 10 years ago I became Wiccan. I take full responsibility for my choice. That includes debating religious issues with respect for the "other" and to the best of my ability.

I was not born into the Swedenborgian Christian Church. I chose that after being in two different other churches and reading the Bible for myself.

I was born a human being and grew up to become a christian. It ia all in the way we are raised to believe and how much defiance we give to those raising us.

Yes, ive switch so much to find the right religion. Religion is confusing to a lot of people because of all the manmade doctrines of the churches.

I consider myself Christian but have incorporated different religious belief systems including some ancient beliefs of my ancestors to satisfy my own idiosyncrasies. but basic religious belief systems are inherited from the culture and society in which one is born.
