If you think that theism is illogical, explain why. Saying that it is illogical without showing how is illogical in and of itself, a claim without justification.

It, to me, is illogial to believe in something just because it has been written in a book with no proof whatsoevr to back up the claims of this book. Books written about evolution(although it is still theory) have some facts to back up what it is saying. With the Bibal there is nothing but the words on the page to back up what is written. You base your life on a book that was first put on paper 1500 years ago, many years after the events, in such book, occured. A book that has been written, rewritten, edited and twisted to fit a certian way of beliefs. Ever play the childs game "Telephone"? Group of ten, in a circle. First person whispers to the second and so on. By the time it reaches # 10 the inital phrase has changed and is almost completely different from when it started. This happens with only 10 people in a mater of minutes. Not hundreds of thousands over 1500 years.
Thats why it is illogical to me.

As a Christian I wouldn't have given you a thumbs down because you have a point, but Christians like regular people don't like to be told what they believe is wrong and we get defensive. You make a good point. Neither Theism or Atheism are logical because neither can be proved or disproved. There is nothing scientific about Theism, there's no physical evidence that God does or does not exist it's all based on faith or a lack there of.

I find it illogical that people will bet it all on a myth, with no proof that God exists. It's illogical that you don't question this, you just blindly follow the flock and allow others to think for you. It's illogical that you can commit heinous crimes and secure your seat in Heaven simply by accepting Christ as your savior. Would you like me to continue?

To believe that there is an all powerful man (woman, child, dog, being, entity, life form, whatever) controlling the Universe IS illogical. If this guy doesn't show himself or give evidence of their existence, then it would not be a very rational idea to worship them, pray to them, or to expect them to solve any of your problems.
People are always trying to pray to GOD to fix their problems, but the only way their problems ever get fixed is if some kind hearted person comes along and fixes them, or if they get off of their fat rump and fix them theirselves. The skies never once tore open and sucked a fire or a tax collector up into them in hopes of saving some poor ol' widow from poverty.
I think that GOD is okay and I think that the doctrine outlined by the Bible is equally okay, buy believing that some all powerful entity will solve all of your problems without any participation from you or anybody else is just plain risky. We must keep in mind that most of the things that GOD does to benefit people in general are either build into the system from the start, or administered by his humble servants. Then, mabye we'll start seeing some real results.

I think the whole thing about making extraordinary claims with little to no evidence is the illogical part about theism.
What could you find logical about dictating your life on faith, which, by definition, is belief without evidence?
Also, out of curiosity, aren't you ashamed to share your religion with people as ignorant as Prem Palmer, who posted that 'atheists don't back up that claim,' right below 7 people backing up that claim?

Only theism is logical---monotheism, that is. To believe in atheism is to some how accept the fact that we created ourselves, and that is ridiculous.

That's the atheists' modus operandi. Make general statements for e.g. "theism is illogical" and not back it up.
