I'm interested in starting the Fat Smash Diet, the diet by Dr. Ian Smith from celebrity fit club, and wanted to know if anyone out there has tried it? What was your success with it? I was looking at the list of allowed foods during the detox phase and noticed that their isn't much to have in terms of breakfast, anyy suggestions? Thanks for the help!

I am going to start to tomorrow. I have not purchased the book, but I was able to find two websites for current and former fat smashers. I have also included information on allowable foods for phase 1.

In Phase 1 it states, and I quote "All Fruits in any quality....All
vegetables in any quality. However, in Phase II it goes so far as it
state what vegetables are allowed implying that if it didn't list that
particular vegetable in phase 1 you couldn't eat it. What gives? Can
we truly eat ANY vegetable in phase 1 or not

Fresh fruit & veggies best and in the most natural state you can eat
but no avocados no white potatoes.

Food/Drink Allowed in Phase I:
All fruits in any quantity
All vegetables in any quantity except white potatoes and
avocados (big NO)
Good sources of protein are chickpeas, beans, tofu and
lentils
Brown rice- 2 cups of cooked rice per day
Two cups of low-fat or skim or soy milk per day
As much water as you like!
Oatmeal- 1 cup per day
All herbs and spices
6 oz. Low-fat yogurt (two times per day)
4 egg whites per day
2 cups of herbal tea per day

Food/Drink NOT Allowed in Phase I:
White rice
Meat
Fish
Cheese
Bread – all types
Raisins
Nuts
Dried or preserved fruits
Candy/popcorn
Ice cream
Alcohol
Juice
Soda- regular or diet

Please let me know if this helps, and if you have any other information. Take care.

I am almost to phase 2. You must have will powers of steel. By day 3 and 4 eating wood chips sounds good. There is little variety. I think bread and water would be an easier group of food choices.

But the good news, even though the diet sucks as far as menu choices... I have lost 10 pounds and I am on day 7.
