There is the OLD testament, which is is where the dietary laws were set up , and the NEW testament where the dietary laws were set aside. The laws were were meant to be a picture of what was to come. When Jesus died for the sins of the world, the only thing needed to become "clean" was him. So the dietary laws became meaningless and were set aside. I think people today should worry more about eating twinkies, and big macs's more than pork. Those are what would probably be considered "unclean" if there were dietary laws today.

Preacher below did not give the correct answer. I am not putting him down, only correcting him, but the passage he mentions is what God calls clean, He is not referring to food, He is referring to the Gentiles, us. One has to go back and pick up the Subject.
The passage in Gods word about pork, (or swine) is in

Isaiah 65: 4-5

This will answer your question. As far as Christians disobeying the Word of God, this just goes to show how much Spiritual Ignorance there is today. I am not calling anyone ignorant, I'm speaking "Spiritually" Please let me know if this helps and you need more information. I will be glad to help in any way.

Old testament law forbid the eating of pork. After christ, Peter the apostle had a vision from God teaching him that all animals are clean as a part of His creation and can be eaten. This came as he was meeting with Gentiles who did eat pork and other (unclean) animals. Peter sat and ate with them and began teaching this new revelation from God.

I think you do not understand the Bible....you try to pull a single passage and not related it to the hundreds of others it is tied to in the Bible and make a point....that weakens you stance and makes you look like you really have no understanding....if you want to make a point then you need to educate yourself first...that is the first rule in a court case....
