with saying to the point of my cat is sick, what do I do? IF YOUR CAT IS SICK TAKE IT TO THE VET
cat's bringing dead things in, KEEP YOUR CAT INSIDE,SAFER FOR THE CAT AND THE WILDLIFE!
come on people! it isn't so hard to take care of a cat, feed it a couple of times a day make sure it has fresh water, scoop out the litter box daily, play with it, have toys for it to play with while you are gone. give it love and attention. if it is sick take it to the vet, don't complain that you don't have enough money to take the cat to the vet. most vets will do a payment plan if you are short of money when your cat gets sick.
What is so hard about that?

I, like many other, agree with you 100%. If you want a pet, any pet, you have to be responsible and take care of them. I have a cat that was a stray, she was a baby, as soon as I took her in the next day she was at the vet. It really doens't take much to care for our pets!!!!!!!

It seems like people have pets, well, just to have pets. People think I'm insane for spending well over $1000 in vet bills for my siamese boy, but all three of my cats see a doctor more often than I do, eat better than I do and sleep more comfortably than I do! Not everyone shares the unconditional love for their pets as we do. Others do share that love, but are ignorant and just dont know any better. That's why I come to this place every day! If I can make just one person change the way they think and make them really start paying attention and being considerate to their pets, then it's all been worth the while.

I agree, but also keep in mind that some people already HAVE a vet appointment set up for their animal, they just ask about the problem here for ideas and maybe some peace of mind.
Sadly, though, some people do not....."my cat isn't eating, should I take him to the vet?"....ummm....if your child wasn't eating, would you take him to the doctor? YES. Those people are just being lazy and ignorant.

As a groomer, I see the results of the neglect. People will let their cats (and dogs) get so matted, its hard to get a clipper blade under them to shave them down. How could they NOT know whats going on with the pet?

I am afraid that I have to agree with you. Most people tend to do these things routinely, and refuse to do otherwise. I am proud to say that I have two beautiful cats to love and enjoy. They are great friends, and yet they demand so little. Let us give our pets the little that they need!

You'd be shocked. In the country, cats are often not pets, they are often tools to keep mice and varmints down. They aren't even fed. I have a house cat and I do all the things you said, but you have to understand not everyone thinks like you and I. Some people just view them as animals.

I do agree, but this is not only about cats...this is an ongoing issue with these people with everything from "could my kid get a blood clot in his head if i give him hormone injections if he doesn't need them" to "I am 8 mths pregnant and I am bleeding profusely, what should I do?" WTF people!! You all need to figure out if your question should only be answered by a professional (doctor OR psychiatrist)!! THINK!!

I live in the country with hardly any cars no thru way, and my 3 cats have a cat flap and can come and go as they want ,they would be most unhappy if they were shut in,and would most probably jump out of the first open window,it would be irresponsible to keep them shut in 24/7.i live in uk anyway
