I have a 12 wk old daucshund / mini pincsher mix. She's been with us since the second week of august. We also have a 6 month old maine coon kitty. They get along quite well. Meisha (my dog) has a habit of sneaking into the kitty's room (they both have their each rooms) and getting into her litter box, only to eat her poop! I don't understand why she does this, and why she won't stop! We have dewormed her, she's had her first shots and everything, and she's totally healthy. I'm afraid her habit will get her sick one day.
Another thing that we've had a problem with is Meisha not going potty outside. We will take her outside, stand there with her for an hour...she won't do anything, then we will come back inside and she'll automatically go poop and pee on the floor. Why is she doing this? We can't keep her outside because our neighbor has 3 pit bulls that I know wouldn't hurt her purposely, but they wiegh a good 130 lbs/ea, and Meisha is only 3.7 lbs. What do I do? What can I do? HELP!

Thanks to all of you who answered. Although I feel I should make some things clear. Someone is always home with her, and if she's that young, knows how to sit, stay, shake ,dance and everything else then I suppose that means that I DO train her, and obviously well. I honestly don't think it's a matter of how well I train my dog here, folks.
Another thing - why do some of you feel yuou must give the most smartas*ed answers? Leave that to the dumb questions. Or, try getting a life instead of trying to find ways to piss people off by being an as*. Either way.

Ok, to all of you who aren't reading my question before answering...and to those of you who feel you must assume I'm lazy....
The cat litter box gets cleaned daily. It's one of those ones that scoops it to the back immediately after the cat goes potty. The back is tottaly inacessable to my dog. So I only have to presume that my dog goes in at the same time my cat goes to the bathroom and gets it before the heat sensor kicks in.
As for the dog food - it's all natural, and was recommended by my vet because my dog won't eat regular dog food such as kibbles n bits or eukanuba.
Thanks to all of you who answered my question. Hopefully my vet will figure something out if that powder doesn't work.
