How Long Is A Piece Of String? It Depends Very Much On Your Spending Habits And Expectations Of How Much You Want To Do Whilst In Australia. If You Are In UK, I Would Suggest Your Monthly Salary Would Be Worth Approx 2.4 Times As Much In Aussie Dollars. Probably The Equivalent Of At Least Five Months Salary Or Access Via ATM To That Sort Of Amount Should See You Right.
I Hope You Find This Information Useful And You Have A Great Time In Australia. It's A Beaut Country And I Wish I Was Still There!

I'll be in Australia for 3 months early next year, I'm going to say about $5000, more or less. But im sure that'll last. Especially if you've got a place to stay for a bit.

It depends o you. I met people there who blew £8000 in the first 2 months. However they are now recovering alcoholics with huge debt problems but have no regrets as they loved oz.
I reckon about £3000 if you stay in hostels.
Its all the excursions that eat the money. Theres just so much to see. coincidently does anyone know of cheap tours to Uluru?

I would say about £20-£25 per day on top of whatever flights you have booked internally in Australia (note that you can get some good deals if you book them with BA/QUANTAS at the time you buy your return ticket).

It may be more if you intend to stay in hotels and have expensive tastes. It may be less if you are very frugal.
