Considering that a queen size bed is 5 ft X 6'-8" it will be a very tight fit. The only other furniture you'll be able to fit into the room are a night-table and a very narrow, tall dresser, and even then the room will feel cramped. You won't have sufficient space for clothing or anything else (unless the room has a great walk-in closet). A double bed would be much better suited to the size of the room. Good luck.

A queen-size bed is not 6'x6' square...it is 60" wide or 5' wide so width wise you would have 3' on each side of the bed if you place it on a long wall. If you want more room on one side, all you really need on the other side is 18" for bedmaking and that frees up 41/2 feet on the other side which would allow you to place a 4'dresser on the same wall and double its use as a bedside stand. It is possible to fit the bed in but there won't be room for much else. The difference in comfort between a queen-size and a full size makes it worthwhile though.

If you hate sleeping in a bed that is too small, go ahead put in the queen sized bed. They are about 6'6" square, I think. Make good use of your closet so that you can do without a dresser. It's better to hang most of your clothes anyway. Utilize drawers in your bathroom more effectively. A couple of small night stands with lamps that attach to the wall over each would be very nice looking and would leave space on the stand for a book and a glass of water.

Yes! You want to be able to see the room as a whole, not with most of it stuffed with a big bed. Also, it's important to have the other furniture in the room match the size of the bed, and don't use much of it. Perhaps only a night side table and small dresser drawer. Maybe a small comfortable chair to sit in. You can get a little busier with the window arrangements; bright curtains, perhaps with a lively print on them. Best of luck!

I have noticed in Denmark that sometimes bedrooms just have a bed and a closet. The bed fills up one end of the room and I wonder how it gets made. I think if you aren't worried about floor space then a queen size bed would be fine. I hope you have enough room to get into the closet.

Haha whoa. You have the same size room I had in my last apartment. I have a full size bed, and it took up some room, but I could still fit a computer desk, dresser, and small T.V. stand with a 20 something inch T.V. on it. And a big stereo. So yea, a full size would fit.

I would not have a bed any larger than a full size bed in a room that size. You will take up the majority of your floor space with the bed alone and if you want a dresser and or chair in the room, it will be very tight indeed.

Well you will get it to fit more than likely, but thats about all you are going to have in there & its going to make the room look even smaller than it already is.
