Hi Nightrider

you know what, i wouldn't say that McDonald's would pose much of a threat, i would think that Mcdonald's is a healthy choice. (mind you healthy is when i am thinking of its ingredient in its Big Mac and Quarter Pounder minus the cheese and not the whole VALUE MEAL) Supersize me blew the McDonald value meal way out of proportion, i wouldnt think you would be eating McDonalds everyday would you? no wonder his liver was Pate and his body fat went sky high, Be sensible. eat McDonald moderately.

now back to the cigarette, lets say you only have a Stick a day (which normally smokers wont stop at a stick) you are actually sucking in roughly 4000 compounds, many of which are toxic and can cause damage to our cells. Some are carcinogenic (cancer-causing). need i say more,

i do hope people around would know the harms of smoking and take it more seriously. Cheers. Hope this would clear things up

What is it with people? Why does everyone have to bash McDonalds? Don't eat there if you don't want to! Oh, and the answer is most likely a pack of cigarettes. They damage your liver, lungs and heart. And all a value meal will do is make you fatter and possibly have an arteries clogged.

1 pack of ciggarettes. It has a lifetime effect that could lead to cancer, and other helth issues. Although a Mickey D's value meal a day isint healthy at all either.

the junk food (as M'D) results can be nullified with other proper food, as fresh fruits and veggies, with fyber and anti-oxydants supplements, P.T. to burn the fat etc but the tobacco poison can't be cancelled by anything.
These are the facts, but I have to admit though that if one doesn't make anything to take care of his/her body, of his/her's health, then probably the junk food will make worse, faster than the cigarettes. as your question regards the long term effects, and presumming that people will fight for their health, my answer is: the cigarettes!

Well, they are both bad, but if you try hard you can lose weight, & avoid McDonalds if you so choose.
Since nicotine is a drug, & hard to quit, you will have a harder time quitting cigs. Besides that, you won't taste good, you won't be able to taste well, & you overall health will deteriortate, & you will make others avoid you except for other smokers...
I wouldn't hang with you if yu smoked...

You can always walk off the McDonald's. Besides nicotine suppresses your appetite so it'll be the only thing you'll eat. Smoking will kill you.

That is like asking if you want to die by gun or by poison, either way you are going to die. Pick McD's or cigarettes, used daily either are going to cause major health problems. SO pick your poison, or choose neither (a better choice).
