Sometimes you can remove the camera battery, then place it bsck in the camera. Often it will reset to defalt settings and power back up, unless the battery is dead. Try recharging the battery, tell your Mom what happened. Look in the Manual under troubleshooting. Often it is a simple thing to fix, and can be done by removing and replacing the battery.

Just come out and tell her the truth. It will only hurt for a moment. You won't be able to fix it at home. Accidents happen. In regards to the pictures of you when you were not suppose to have it she will never see them because its broken. Next time maybe you should think about taking other peoples property to places you were suppose to in the first place. Save up to buy her a new one.

I agree with all the people who say you'd better just own up to it and get it over with.
The good news is that, if the pictures are on a memory card in the camera, at least they still have the pictures.

There is no do it your self way to fix it!
it' would be best to own up for your actions!
1. your parents will have more respect for you and treat you more of an adult if you own up to your actions!
2. you may get into trouble but you owned up for your actions so that is going to make you look good to everyone around you!
3. if your scared you have every right to be! look your fear straight in it's face and concore it!
You can do it!
Be the best you!!!
not like you threw it on the floor accidents happen! and if your honest your parents will understand!
don't hide it!
that will get you in more trouble then if you were to own up to your own actions!
haven't you seen bill cosby?
lol
Good luck!
Mad love!
p.s. don';t take the camrea apart if your parents have a warrenty on it and it looks like it has been tampered with they will lose the warrenty! so just be honest!

Is it a Canon?
They have a problem with lenses.
Well, its not actually a problem, its more like a safety feature.
The lens locks up when it detects some sudden movement. Get it to the service center

Well if it happened over a month ago, and she doesn't know it, you may want to tell her in a nice way how it broke, and pay her for the repairs. If you tell her that you dropped it by accident, she may not get mad, and she will forgive you for breaking it.

SIGH.
Why not just own up to it and take it to the shop and have it fixed properly before you screw it up more than it already is.She'll be even more cheesed off at you if she goes to use it and it's broke !

Dont try fixing it. Buy a new one. Your warranty is void.

Just deny all knowledge of it being broken, it was over a month ago. She can't prove it was you.
