I believe that Noah was a Messenger of God in much the same way Abraham, Moses and others were. I believe that He even had a book, but there is little, if any, factual things to support that. And the concept of a religion would have been much different back then. There was a group of people that called themselves "followers of Abraham" yet didn't follow Moses or other Messengers.

Basically, I think that there were many, many "religions" of the past that have been lost in time and Noah's appears to be one of them.

inin_jomo,
Noah was in, for lack of a better term, proto-Judaism. But he had a great advantage: he had God talking to him in a more direct way!

HE WAS NOT A JEW!!!!!!!!

Nothing that I know of places him in any regards to being Jewish.

He was NOT a descendent of Judah, that is; the son of Jacob.
He was NOT living in Judaiah.
He was NOT therefore of that southern kingdom of Judah.

The land of Israel had not even been established yet.

He was of the covenant that came from Adam after the fall of Adam. God was in the lives of very few people, as I suppose that is true to this day. Far less people have responded to God than have not. But those He calls He enables.

The three Abrahamic religions are linked to the ancestry of Noah...Judaism, Christianity and Islam. I believe there are other religions that claim the same ancestry but they are usually offshoots of the three...Baha'i, Voodoo...not sure about any others.

regardless of what others say their were no Jews until the time of Abraham (or Jacob according to some)

Noah even according to Judaism was not a Jew, he was a monotheist ( a person that believed and prayed to G-d)

Noah lived before the birth of Abraham and therefore was not Jewish and certainly not Christian. His relationship with God was of the same nature as Adam and Eve's.

It was neither, as neither had begun. You can't say he is a Jew, because all varieties of people came from his family. Simply put, he was a disciple of God, worshiping him in his own personal way. At the time, there were not religions, and many living had even met Adam before he died. The Garden of Eden was still present, for them to see what they had lost.

Christianity only started after the birth of Christ so Noah was probably a Jew,

He was Jewish, I guess, though I think most of the practices of Judaism didn't start until Moses and Abraham. But, Christianity started with Christ, so all before him (and yes, even Jesus) were Jewish if they followed God.

Judaism.

Christians were first called Christians as a demeaning term. And "Christians" mean "little Christ" so Noah couldn't have been a Christian because Jesus had not come to the earth yet.

All the judaism sects, christian sects and muslim sects claim to be the religion of noah.

It is what you want to believe.
