Both are painkillers, but they contain different ingredients.

Darvocet contains acetominophen and popoxyphene. Popoxyphene is an opiod, made from poppy plants.

Vicodin contains oxycodone, which is the same drug as in Oxycontin. That's basically the only ingredient in it.

vicodin (hydrocodone) is slightly stronger than darvocet. both make you a little mind boggled (some people a little more than others), depends on your personal tolerance levels with pain killers.
