I think I'm somewhat guilty of this, and I wondered if other people have noticed the same thing about themselves.

Wow, apparantly there are only perfect people on here who never judge anyone based on first impressions. As someone mentioned this has been scientifically shown to be true and I don't believe you who say you NEVER do this

Yes, I have noticed that I do that even though I don't want to.

Here's the deal. I'm one of these people that are cool to everybody not matter looks. I will say this though if the person is cool and nice looking it's an added bonus. If they are spiteful and nice looking. They automatically start looking less attractive to me because they aren't nice. I think usually as people we do have some shallow tendencies but for the most part people can & will look above that. I mean I'm really a short ugly fat guy but my personality breaks the monotany. In short if I see a girl smile at me while she hands me my food at chik-fil-a I'll be nice back but not because she's good looking because it's nice. K'duh.

Actually I am just the opposite. I find that people who are considered less attractive are actually nicer, humble, willing to go out of their way to help a person out kind of people. Its unfortuante that we place more value on looks than personality. Many of those that are good looking do not have good personalities and those that are not good looking do?? Wonder why that is??? I mean yes, I will never win Miss. America, but I don't belong in the dog kennel either. But treating all people not just the good looking ones with repect is what it is truly all about.

Good food for thought here.
Actually, I find myself being nicer to those who are different in some way than what is considered the "norm".
In the general public I find that the less attractive are friendlier.
I agree with the user who said it is not fair that attractive persons are treated better.

I never find myself being like that. I'm nice to anyone!

When I was younger I used to judge people by their looks all the time and had less friends as a result. Now it's all about personality and looks really don't matter. Everyone is good looking in their own way.

I try to avoid attractive people. I don't know why. I'm not horrific or anything... so its not an ugly person thing... I guess my school exeriences tell me that attractive people think they're better than everyone else. Which I know is not the case for all people.

No, sometimes I find them a little intimidating and don't speak to them unless I have to. I know thats not always true with attractive people, but that's just how I feel.

I used to do this too, but as I got older, I realized my priorities and how enriched life can be when you don't pre-judge or play favorites........I think it is called maturity in my case......I love people, so I like giving good feelings to as many as I can.

If I do, I don't know it and it's completly unintentional. I actually feel somewhat intimidated by really attractive people during conversation.

im usually nicer to ppl that arent that blessed cos i feel sorry for them and most hot ppl that know their hot are terrible ppl were as less attractive ppl compensate for their looks with their personality.... but in some cases ive found it difficult to approach uterly hideous ppl which is cruel yes, but it would be crueler if i look at them strange.
