ask the house members not to touch the dogs

There are so many things they are touchy about. This is also one such touchy or touch me not issue.

Islam is perhaps on the only religion which puts lot emphasis on cleanliness. You can bath your dog how many times you want, it will become dirty quickly and not talking about the dog licking ur feet and throwing his saliva everywhere.
If you keep dirt in your house, you will become used to dirt. The dog touches you, you become unpure , and u will have to go and take a shower to be able to do ur prayer. This is why muslims do not keep dogs in the house.
I myself do not do that. I find it a great guardian but he will go sh itting everywhere in the garden and house.

We can touch dogs so as long as they dont have any impurities or saliva on them , the reason why the saliva of a dog is impure is that at times dogs do lick and taste their feces.
