Great question! I think I am a bit more blunt and honest with strangers. But I try not to be rude. Odd, but true.

That all depends on the nature of the question. Sometimes I tend to be more blunt when I answer Yahoo Questions, simply because 10 times out of 10 I don't know the person who posted the question...When I answer a question in person, chances are I know the person or I am getting to know the person, so I may tone down my response, I will get the same message across just not like I would if it were on line....make sense?

This is a very good question.
I think that many people will say that they are more honest here. I, however, am honest in person as well. The biggest difference is that in real life, if I wish to avoid answering a question, I need to change the subject, tactfully. On line if I don't want to answer a question, I just don't answer.

Yes I answer the same... I am brutally honest in real life and have friends and family who will vouch for that.
However I have never been ask in person "Is masturbation acceptable in public" like the one dumb$hit did. But I would of answered the same!

I'd have to say I probably do answer the same way, but I'm just the type of person that once I decide to be honest, it might not always be what the person wants to hear. I don't purposely try to be rude but my opinion is my opinion. This pretty much sums it up for me:
"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter & those who matter don't mind" - Dr. Seuss

I'm basically the same. Sometimes I am so honest that I get slammed online, but I do that in person too. I am ofter more articulate online as you can stop and think about what you are saying more than in a flowing conversation face to face.

I'm always try to be honest, but nice. If I ask someone a question, I want the truth. I think that it is stupid to ask someone their opinion, and then be offended at their answer just because it wasn't what you wanted to hear. I totally believe in manners, and honesty. If someone is not going to answer honestly, then they shouldn't answer.

I do not hide behind anonymity to answer questions on line. I do not believe the Internet is a forum to be impolite, abrasive or abusive.
If you are a "different" person on-line than you are in real life, (IMO), you are doing yourself a dis-service.
How can you justify your actions off-line when your are projecting a false persona on-line?
And, yes, I reply to questions on yahoo, msn, and/or in groups as I do in person and in "real" life.

I answer just like I would in person.....politely and honestly. You don't have to be brutal to be honest. And manners always count.
