We have that problem out here. This apartment complex allows dogs, and there are crabapple trees EVERYWHERE. My brother's dogs and the neighbor dogs all try to eat 'em....with everyone yelling at 'em to drop the stupid things.

OK, according to this site http://www.strongpets.com/nontoxicplants.php
crabapples are not toxic to pets.

(Damn it, I didn't mean to give 'It's Just Junk' a thumbs up. His answer is ridiculous. Dogs will eat things when they're not hungry. I'm sure you, as a dog owner, know this. So don't worry about that. Some people are just stupid.)

I am not certain if this fruit is toxic or not .
.
But there are many hybrid trees, whose fruit resemble edible crab apples and are in fact poisonous

Dogs have quite a tough digestion , and on the face of it , crab apples should NOT, have that effect on him

take him to the vet ---ASAP
Take some of the ' CRAB APPLES ',also for analysis.

So the vet can diagnose, the cause of your dogs vomiting

I hope all will be well, . let us know the results ,if you can .
