I think this is definetly a perception thing. A little clutter isn't bad. It gives that effect that, Yes, someone lives here. Not to say that someone living in a pig sty is a good thing either. I think also that when you so see someone and it definetly looks as if they just cleaned that day, something is definetly being hidden. I mean straigthening up before a guest comes over is cool, but don't open that hallway closet if you know what I mean, lol.

i believe it depends on the personality of the person. Some are clean freak that a little clutter will set them off while some dont mind a little clutter here or there. Though I dont think anyone would want to see someone who has a really disorganize house but I might be wrong.

if you can not walk through the place, then I say run for it. If its just a little clutter then it is not big deal.

my bathroom, kitchen, dinning/ living room are in order. a lil messy i have a full time job and a teenage son. so its bound to get messy till days off. but to be a pigs sty no way....
