My cats are very generous, they often bring things home live so they can play with them!

I have woken up to a disembowled mouse on my pillow, I have had to clean sparrow guts off of my bathroom ceiling! (they like to throw stuff around once they've killed it!!) they have brought me frogs, spiders, newts, a baby rabbit (luckily i managed to rescue it and give it to the RSPCA!) mice, birds, rats and they once chased a fox into my kitchen.

The latest offerings have been Harvest Mice, which is really upsetting because they are a protected species and getting very rare!!!

However, I always thank the cats because they are making offerings to me.

Whether you like it or not it is the highest form of flattery from a cat!!

My old cat has brought in all sorts. Rabbits - they make a real nasty screaming noise, squirrels, rats, mice, a slow worm, next doors goldfish (oops!), a racing pigeon that belonged to a bloke up the road (oops!) - but any bird will do. Problem is most of the time they won't be dead and then you have to watch them kill it.

In addition to mice, our cats will bring us gifts of chipmunks and an occasional frog or toad. Once is was a small rabbit. It's much worse when they bring these things into the house and they are not quite dead yet!

Had to chuckle!! My cat, particularly during summer, drags in frogs, plays with them, and then kills them, leaving them in the strangest places around the house! Places such as under the beds, on the dining room table and in the door ways where we can step on them.

Rabbits mainly, mostly dead but the occasional alive one. Watching TV one night and a wild rabbit who must have been hiding behind the furniture, hopped across the floor! Also, mice, voles, birds and a very much alive weasel. She is lucky to be alive herself as weasels are nasty vicious things.

You have to accept it as a love gift though, so be very flattered!

My cat brought me a dead bird and mice, it's their way of giving you a gift or showing what they have done

My cat, being bright ginger (or apricot as everyone says because they think I'm insulting her) is like a little warning signal and doesn't bring much in bar the odd starling. She's a bit pants at catching stuff anyway.

This however, is amusing: http://www.whatjeffkilled.com/index.html

Cats are confused by human behaviour and wonder why we cannot catch mice.
Your cat is trying to inform you of this and hopes you will learn by example!

Cats do that sort of thing all the time. Its there way of giving you something back although its not what you want. Mine brought me in a Rabbit, half dead to and to put it out of its misery i had to kill it myself
