Simply because they're not mature enough to realise that the earth doesn't JUST evolve around them

There is an actual scientific explanation that has been recently uncovered.
The frontal lobes of the brain are where we process empathy, relationships and how to interact with others. When we hit puberty, this part of the brain goes through massive changes, in preparation for parenthood. Whilst these changes are taking place, the brain, which is an amazing organ, shifts all these processes to the back of the brain. The back of the brain is not designed to process this information, so it does the best it can under very difficult circumstances!
So teenagers, who are going through so many changes both physically and emotionally, are all of a sudden, ill equipped to deal with it all. They will find it hard to empathise with others needs and feelings, so will appear rude and inconsiderate!

On the other hand, it could be that they're cocky little know-it-alls who just need a good slap!

Because they are starting to become a young adult and think for them self but don't have enough experience or "smarts" to realise that they haven't been out in the real world. They are so caught up in hormones and thinking for themselves that they don't even take a moment to think that they might be wrong. The world revolves around them until about 22 (give or take a few years depending on maturity) Believe me my little sis STILL thinks the world revolves around her and that is her motto "I am always right" and she is over 22 and married with two kids of her own.

Just like when we were young, we thought we knew everything, and as we got older, found out we knew nothing. Young people today are no different, just they have a weird way of showing it.

Give them time, one day they will wake up and realize how wrong they were and how right their parents are. I always believed in learning from other peoples mistakes, that I dont have to make the same ones they did to learn a valuable lesson.

why do us adults always beleive we're right? because we're all human and only know what we know.

as adults though we should have learnt by now to be more tolerant of other peoples views and feelings. and remember, teenagers and children are people too.

unfortunatly, as world events continue to show us, some people are unable to ever learn these lessons in life. still, they'll probably just be reincarnated until they get the picture.

Teenagers don't believe that their parents would ever have gone through or done anything that they do, cause that would just be uncool. Everybody once they hit adolescense have a sense of curiosity about them and one of the main things in life is you have to learn by your mistakes, it's the immature stubborness that makes you feel you are right, and makes it difficult to admit, ok, I was wrong

Actually, your grammer is wrong in this question. It should read

Why do teenage brains always think they're right????

It's "they're", an abreviation of they are, not "their" which is possessive as in "they own".

By the way, I'm 17.

Well when I was a teen I was always right ;o) hee hee. I just think they actually believe they are right at the moment or because they feel if they can convince you they're right they will get their way.

It's very simple. That is the time where they start to enter the maturity level. So they behave like that. Once they attain the maturity level everything will be ok.
