That makes about as much sense as pulling some muddy, funky, stinky clothes from the hamper and putting it back on. Why go back if you had not resolved what made you part in the 1st place? If the junk was there when you left and all that time you were sneaking chats on the sly with the ex, disrespecting your current, and you didn't clean any of those issues up, you might as well stay with that current partner you have or just move on.

I agree you should go forward instead of backwards cause there is a reason why they are an ex. Took me a while to learn that cause you always think what if. Well what if is not the way to go .FORWARD ONLY PLEASE!

When someone goes back to an ex, he/she probably isn't able to let go of the past relationship and the feelings. It's always hard to move on.

honesty it all depends on the two individuals if they improve themselves

some people realize what they lost and try to get them back

but in the process they tend to forget what made them break up

i ve known people who lost love ones and they improve themselves and went back into the relationship and actually got married and were happy with each other

but then u have those that just dont get it
they dont improve themselves and they get back together and its the same thing

there is a reason why he is the X leave it at that.. but some people are gluttons for punishment. I say you get what you ask for. It didn't work the first what makes you think it will the second time..

Very good question! I don't know why people do that. He/She is your ex for a reason ...
Familiarity is not a good enough reason for me. I need more than the just "OK" thing. But that is me ... and guess what? I don't intend to change so...NEXT!

No matter how bad the situation, we are all comfortable with familiarity. There may also still be that glimmer of hope that things will change.
